Everywhere he goes, DJ Victor Calderone plays to a packed house. You know the scene at Neptune’s each summer; at the pools and in the clubs in Miami each Winter Music Conference; at Pacha each and every month. Now imagine what he’ll do in an untouched, wide-open space with nothing but water and sky. Victor brings his inimitable blend of techno, house and history to Governor’s Island for a once-in-a-lifetime event. The Club World Awards’ “Best Resident DJ” for 2009 will do what he does best: Take it up to the next level, with a super-powered set too big to fit in any place with walls. Getting to Governors Island is just a quick, 5-minute boat ride away. The event will be accessible via New York Water Taxi. The Water Taxi’s will leave every hour from the Battery Maritime Building Slip 7 on the Southern Tip of Manhattan, located next to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. The first ferry will leave at 4pm and every 15 minutes thereafter. Additional pickup locations may be added. More information and directions can be found at Water Taxi Beach and Dance.Here.Now.
